This is the 'intermediate' class in our Visual Arts program. Students will engage in deep study of the elements and principles of art. Two and three- dimensional techniques will be taught using a variety of materials. Students will explore various cultures, art history, and learn to think and write critically about master work as well as their own.
For this project, we looked at different artists that are inspired by food. One of the main artists we talked about was Wayne Thiebaud, who was a painter who focused mostly on candy and desserts. He was our main inspiration for this project. Below are some pictures that we looked at: Hungry yet?? (I was hungry a lot during this project...and I don't think I was the only one...
