The students did an amazing job on this project. The amount of creativity they poured into this project was amazing. Some of the projects were...an alpaca, flying pig, piano, a robot couple, and even a recycled costume!
Hey! This is Ms. Bachaus, Ms. Ziegler's student teacher. Being a student teacher, I have to create a 5 day lesson called the IMPACT project. Although mine took a little longer then 5 days, it was worth the extra time. I collected as many recycles as possible from staff members, students, Ms. Zielger, and my own house. I then showed the students some artists that work with recycled materials, like Michelle Reader and Joseph Carnevale, to help them get some ideas of what to do and what materials they should use.The requirements for the project were that the students could work in groups of 2 or 3 and they could make either; one 4 foot sculpture or two 2 foot sculptures. They were allowed to spray paint the sculpture if they got done with the project early. THE RESULTS! The students did an amazing job on this project. The amount of creativity they poured into this project was amazing. Some of the projects were...an alpaca, flying pig, piano, a robot couple, and even a recycled costume! -Ms. Backhaus
