I am SO excited I get to have you for another semester! I hope you are too :)
Don't forget to get these supplies! : 1. A pack of #2 pencils (may be stored on assigned shelf) – a pencil will be needed for every day. 2. A Folder with 3 brads (or prongs) and pockets to hold paper- we will make this into our sketchbook (this may also be stored on assigned shelf) – needed for every day. I will provide the paper. 3. A ruler (wooden, plastic, whatever works for you) 4. Fine point and Ultra Fine Point BLACK Sharpie or Permanent Marker 5. Big eraser (pink pearl or something like it) 6. Pencil pouch to store materials in Below are portraits that I chose to hang in the hallway. What talent and hard work! I am so proud of how hard these students worked to get these finished by the end of the semester!
For our last unit, we focused on drawing. We have been revisiting some drawing techniques like gridding and value/shading. Our final project is a gridded portrait and each student got to chose who they were going to draw. I am so proud at the hard work they have been putting into this project- it is definitely not an easy one! Check out the progress...
Can't wait to see how they look after this weekend! (Students- you should have been working on them.... they are due by Tuesday!!) Peter Max poster winners! I chose 15 of the top "Save the Earth" Poster and 15 "North Carolina" Posters to be laminated and hung up in the school! Everyone worked really hard and I am so happy with how colorful they are! They definitely brighten our school halls. **Click on each picture to enlarge it** **Please let me know if you don't see yours above- I had a hard time finding some of them. So, let me know where you hung it and I will take a picture of it!**
