These are the ones that I chose to be laminated and displayed in the hallway! Everyone did a great job!
After our drawing unit, students created a unique visual representation of a band or musician of their choice. They were to create it in the style of the artist Peter Max, who has been making bright, colorful paintings since the 60's. Below are some of his paintings. After choosing a band or musician to represent, we drew our sketches and then put our drawing onto the final paper. Students learned how to blend colors and create value to add to the colorful style of Peter Max. These are the ones that I chose to be laminated and displayed in the hallway! Everyone did a great job!

For our portfolio project, we used multiple different media (or materials) to create an abstract design that included our names. We used crayons and rubber cement (glue) as a resist, which is something that repels water. When we painted over the crayon and glue with watercolors, it left the glue and crayon designs unpainted. It created a neat design on our folders! In Art, portfolio's are used to hold all the artwork we create. It helps to keep us organized and we can see how much we have learned and accomplished! Below are the ones that I chose to be shown on the website! Scroll through to see if yours was one of them! |
